Water Cooler Talk: January 26, 2015
Julianne Hough in "Grease" and a Taylor Swift-loving cop lead us off
It’s Monday, ladies. Rev your office-chatting engines. Here’s what to know.
JULIANNE HOUGH WILL STAR IN "GREASE" LIVE
Taking a cue from NBC’s Peter Pan and Sound of Music, FOX will air a live production of Grease. (Cue mild freakout.) But not until 2016. (Oh.) Julianne Hough is your new Sandy and Vanessa Hudgens, your Rizzo. Fingers crossed they don't think Chris Pine is too old to play Danny.
COPS LOVE TAYLOR SWIFT, TOO
It’s safe to say we all needed this: A dashboard cam catches a Delaware police officer jamming out to “Shake It Off.” The head bobs, the lip curls, the hand flings, the pauses for passersby, the rap breakdown...it’s all too much.
CONCEIVE IN JANUARY...GIVE BIRTH TO AN ATHLETE
A new study shows that children born in October and November grow to be significantly better athletes than those in other months. The theory? More vitamin D during pregnancy and subsequent muscle development.
TLC IS KICKSTARTING THEIR FINAL ALBUM
For their fifth and final album, the ladies who don’t want no scrubs also don’t want no record-label pressure. Instead they’re funding it on Kickstarter and offering some hilarious rewards--like a slumber party with Chilli in ATL or T-Boz in LA for $5,000.
