Picture this: You’re locked in a room with 12 strangers, co-workers or friends. The timer is set to 60 minutes. There are clues all around you, and somebody better start to figure them out because it’s the only way you’re all getting out of there.
This might sound like a nightmare, but escape-the-room games are the new murder-mystery night. And companies that host these games are popping up all over the U.S. (To name a few: D.O.A. Room Escape in Chicago, Sherlocked Seattle, Escape the Room NYC or Room Escape Adventures, which is available in 22 cities.)
If there isn't a live version in city near you and you want to get in on the action, then Google “room escape” or “escape room games.” You’ll find plenty of sites that let you play a virtual version in the comfort of your own home.
But take it from us, nothing beats the real thing.
