Sure, Netflix is the greatest thing EVER, but if you’re in danger of becoming a shut-in, bypass the binge and head out to the new, state-of-the-art AMC Theatre in Addison--off the Tollway and Belt Line--which has a special Prime facility that includes reserved seating, reclining chairs and vibrating seats.
Up to six days before your desired flick, reserve online ($17) and choose from 300 seats to suit your viewing preference.
The evening of your date, arrive a few minutes early to order cocktails, beer or wine at MacGuffins, the in-theater bar that allows you to enjoy drinks before the show and even have one delivered to you 30 to 45 minutes into the movie so you don’t have to move an inch.
And those reserved seats? They're the most comfortable ones in a movie theater yet, with electric reclining action, elevated footrests and vibrating seats that rumble at appropriate moments during the flick.
Need another reason to take a break from Netflix? Fifty Shades of Grey is showing in the Prime Theatre this week.
