Gallery Hop Like a Boss
Your cheat sheet to NYC galleries
Scenario: It?s Saturday afternoon and your plans vacillate between hitting the gym, eating an enormous bagel and binging on Broad City.
Hold up. Do you even remember what city you live in? Go see some damn art.
Here to help is See Saw Map.
The genius new app aggregates current NYC gallery exhibits in one clean, simple place--making it crazy-easy to navigate the art scene like a pro.
Here?s how it works: Upon downloading, select the area where you want to go hopping (say, Chelsea or the Lower East Side) and an extensive feed of exhibits will pop up. The list is organized alphabetically by gallery name and also includes the featured artist (like Louise Bourgeois at Cheim & Read) for easy decision-making.
Just tap on a show and everything you could possibly want to know before making a visit is right there (photos, details, gallery address and hours, opening and closing dates, etc.). If it tickles your fancy, hit the plus-sign icon and add it to your personalized GPS-powered gallery map.
Just like that, the promise of free wine isn?t the only thing getting you to Tenth Avenue.
