Including “Sexy Dance” and “It’s Raining Falafel”
We get it. Some English idioms just don’t translate to other languages. But based on these wildly off-base foreign takes on American movie titles, we’re wondering if film execs just said, “Screw it. Let’s use Google Translate.”
“Mom, I Missed the Plane” (France)
“Young People Who Traverse Dimensions While Wearing Sunglasses” (France)
“If You Leave Me, I Delete You” (Italy)

“Sexy Dance” (France)
Translation by Channing Tatum.
Tell me more, tell me more.
“A Twin Seldom Comes Alone” (Germany)
“The Urban Dramatic” (Germany)
Quick! Describe Woody Allen in three words...
“It’s Raining Falafel” (Israel)
“I Will Marry a Prostitute to Save Money” (China)
“Meeting and Failures in Meetings” (Portugal)
Safe to say a lot of these titles were meeting and failures in meetings.
