PureWow.com, the premiere women's digital lifestyle publication, is seeking a Senior Director of Marketing & Strategic Partnerships to lead all audience development programs and provide analysis and insight to inform audience growth efforts. Responsibilities:

  • Scale PureWow’s web traffic via syndication partnerships, search, social, paid and partner initiatives.
  • Lead email acquisition programs to drive the growth of PureWow’s multiple email editions
  • Manage, mentor and develop the marketing team
  • Manage PureWow’s strategy across all social platforms, with a focus on helping to create shareable content
  • Develop reporting and presentations for internal and external stakeholders

  • Identify and establish email marketing and web content partnerships with complementary brands that simultaneously achieve scale and quality

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of growth, audience development, content marketing, email marketing, direct marketing or related strategy work, including campaign development and performance analyses
  • Strong understanding of paid media efficacy, subscriber retention, lifetime value, content value and remarketing
  • Deep understanding of Direct Response (DR) campaign delivery to meet performance metrics
  • Familiarity with online display tactics and management tools
  • Strong leadership skills and the proven ability to inspire a team
  • Proven ability as a self-starter who can develop and manage impactful projects

Chicago Business Development Manager

We're looking for someone who can work in the Chicago area and has a minimum of 3 years digital media sales experience with a top performance record and an extensive contact list. This candidate should be a self-starter, an entrepreneur-in-residence who understands the online advertising industry. The role requires a strong attention to detail and a passion for popular styles and trends.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Managing the sales cycle from start to finish (prospecting, identifying contacts, creating proposals, generating Insertion Orders, securing advertiser collateral, inputting collateral in the admin, and results reporting).
  • Creating outbound sales campaigns to increase awareness of PureWow among the advertising community (agencies & client-direct) to generate and grow new business.

Digital Ad Trafficker and Inventory Manager

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Perform all aspects of traffic management, including implementation, testing, deployment, delivery, and optimization of ad campaigns.
  • Support the SVP of Sales & Operations, Business Development Managers and Operations team.
  • Take ownership and provide technical support on new and existing issues.
  • Be a subject matter expert on all ad server implementations and integrations (data, programmatic, remnant, etc).
  • Advertising campaign support, including: Ad trafficking; Campaign monitoring, optimizing, & reporting; Invoicing and payment tracking.
  • Email Trafficking – Daily testing and scheduling of PureWow emails across all editions.
  • Analyze campaign performance statistics and recommend optimized media solutions from the results.
  • Work closely with sales coordinator to provide account support for ad campaigns, both pre-sales and post-sales
  • Provide technical support for sales and engineering teams to help troubleshoot problems creatively.
  • Act as liaison with the sales marketing team to test and evaluate new types of ad products before they are made available to sellers. Perform QA for all campaigns that go live.
  • Ensure smooth delivery of campaigns by maintaining and distributing pacing reports.
  • Develop optimization strategies on a campaign-by-campaign basis to maximize both yield and advertiser performance.
  • Troubleshoot ad serving issues, discrepancies and reporting issues.
  • Maintain ad specs/acceptable technologies for all digital products.

Qualifications and Expectations:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
  • 1+ year experience in ad ops and/or media sales planning
  • Very familiar with third party ad servers, such as DFP, DART, Atlas, OpenX, etc. (we use DFP, so direct DFP experience is preferred) Excellent MS Excel skills, and know your way around other MS Office products (Word, Powerpoint)
  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Strong analytics, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Positive attitude, and a genuine interest in working in a start-up environment and wearing multiple hats as needed

Digital Ad Sales Marketing Manager

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with Sales and Sales Marketing teams to participate in ideation and development of marketing programs/platforms, both proactively and in response to RFPs
  • Assisting in RFP response process, including working closely with Sales, Sales Marketing and Creative Services teams to help develop proposals and manage deadlines
  • Working closely with Sales Marketing and Creative Services team to develop, update and maintain sales materials, sell sheets and media kit materials
  • Assisting with development and execution of custom digital/mobile marketing programs, including strong communication with Production, Edit and Creative teams
  • Helping with design and creation of comps and proposals
  • Assistance in writing proposals including clear and compelling descriptions of custom advertising proposals

Digital Marketing Analyst

This role is responsible for compiling and reporting data (across email, web and social) and delivering relevant analysis, interpretations, reporting, recommendations and strategies to the marketing, edit and operations teams, as well as management and other stakeholders.

The Digital Marketing Analyst will successfully use data to tell a story that depicts, predicts and reconciles business scenarios, trends, opportunities and challenges. Analysis areas may include, but are not limited to: paid media efficacy, subscriber retention, lifetime value, content value, remarketing and more.

Job responsibilities:

  • Lead analytical projects designed to understand the key behaviors that drive user acquisition, retention and engagement
  • Analyze acquisition funnel efficiency across web, mobile and other major user touchpoints using Google Analytics
  • Interpret marketing and editorial data and provide actionable recommendations for site and product enhancements
  • Manage budget, placement and analysis of paid channels for our acquisition and audience development campaigns, including Facebook Ads, Outbrain and AdWords

Ad Sales Intern

 

PureWow.com, the premiere women's lifestyle email publication, is seeking an Ad Sales Intern to support our growing start-up while gaining hands-on experience with digital advertising sales methods. PureWow internships are unpaid but structured to provide the intern relevant exposure to online sales strategy and execution, in addition to valuable networking opportunities with well-conscious influencers and business people in the fashion, culture, tech, and beauty sectors. PureWow attempts to provide each intern with immediate, real-life experience that can be used later to find paid work. The Ad Sales Intern should be able to commit at least 10-15 hours per week (two-three days per week) working with PureWow for a period of at least three months.

The exact breadth of responsibilities and learning opportunities for the Ad Sales Intern may be customized, based on the applicant's professional requirements.
