Audience Development & Analytics Coordinator

PureWow.com is seeking an Audience Development + Analytics Coordinator who can help develop our subscriber acquisition and audience development efforts and perform analysis to maximize those efforts.  The right candidate will have an interest in analytics, a pasion for media, and a savvy understanding of core digital marketing principles.  

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Lead analytical projects designed to understand the key behaviors that drive user acqusision, retention + engagement
  • Interpret marketing data and provide actionable recommendations for site + product enhancements + share reports with key stakeholders
  • Negotiate barter / ad trade with like email properties
  • Ideate + execute co-branded marketing partnerships and sweepstakes
  • Manage paid channels for our subscriber acquisition programs (search, social, media buys + more)
  • Ability to coordinate content syndication programs, including building + managing relationships with portal editors
  • Ability to develop traffic-driving strategies (both paid + organic) in current + emerging social media
  • Assist with other marketing activities, including A/B testing, website QA + assisting with marketing promotions and sweepstakes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience in digital marketing, including SEO, SEM + content syndication
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics, social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest + LinkedIn) and paid search platforms (Google AdWords) is a plus
  • Strong interest in women's lifestyle media
  • Proactive, with a desire to work in a startup-like environment
  • Organized + disciplined, with excellent communication skills and superior resolution + decision-making skills
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated, with the ability to think systematically, analytically + to set clear priorities

Ad Sales Account Executive (full-time)

PureWow.com, the premiere women's lifestyle email publication, is seeking a full-time ad sales account executive. We're looking for someone who can work in the New York City office and has a minimum of 3 years digital media sales experience with a top performance record and an extensive contact list. This candidate should be a self-starter, an entrepreneur-in-residence who understands the online advertising industry. The role requires a strong attention to detail and a passion for popular styles and trends.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Managing the sales cycle from start to finish (prospecting, identifying contacts, creating proposals, generating Insertion Orders, securing advertiser collateral, inputting collateral in the admin, and results reporting).
  • Creating outbound sales campaigns to increase awareness of PureWow among the advertising community (agencies & client-direct) to generate and grow new business.
  • Prospecting and penetrating medium to large size organizations ("Top 2000" advertisers, major sub-brands and Advertising Agencies) to help secure RFP's and advertising dollars.
  • Creating persuasive sales presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel detailing market trends, case studies and marketing solutions.
  • Analyzing campaign performance statistics and recommend optimized media solutions from the results.
  • Working to develop effective sales strategies and advertising sales proposals for continued site revenue growth.

Qualifications and Expectations: 

  • Minimum of 3 years digital media sales experience

• Support the Director of Sales and Account Executives
• RFP completion
• Manage/support the sales cycle from start to finish (prospecting, identifying contacts, creating proposals, generating Insertion Orders, securing advertiser collateral, inputting collateral in the admin, and results reporting).
• Create persuasive sales presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel detailing market trends, case studies and PureWow.com marketing solutions.

Graphic Design Intern

Love design? We are currently seeking an intern to grow the online reach and influence of PureWow, the premiere free daily email for stylish women of substance.

This is a tremendous opportunity for a smart and enthusiastic person to gain professional experience in publishing. Candidates must be available for a minimum of three days per week.

PureWow internships are unpaid but structured to give the interns maximum exposure to the online world of marketing and publishing, with our goal being to provide them with solid experience that will quickly help them find paid work.

Responsibilities may include the following:

  • Assist the marketing manager and staff designer in redesigning email templates, site widgets and structure, and general marketing collateral (including house ads, landing pages and social media banners)
  • Assist the staff designer and sales team (and clients) in conceptualizing, designing, and securing approval of sales proposals, custom advertising campaigns, media kits, event invitations, collateral materials, and client reports
  • Assist the editorial team with finding and cutting images for PureWow daily editorial emails and website components

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work well and fast across a broad range of responsibilities in a team-based environment
  • Proficiency needed in all industry-standard design applications, particularly Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Passion for design, strong typographical skills, and attention to detail are a must

• Research and identify non-paid (barter) partnerships with like-minded digital properties

• Build landing pages of marketing initiatives
• Assist with market research, including crafting reader surveys and analyzing data
• Support other subscriber acquisition efforts to help grow email lists and reach
• Be a digital evangelist for the PureWow brand and lifestyle

• Work directly with the marketing manager to develop PureWow's social media marketing strategy
• Responsibility for day-to-day social media post creation and brand monitoring on Facebook and Twitter
• Daily curation of PureWow's Pinterest page
• Assist with paid advertising efforts on social media platforms, including Facebook Ads and LinkedIn
• Identify and connect with social media influencers in the women's lifestyle space

Operations Intern

 

PureWow.com, the premiere women's lifestyle email publication, is seeking an Operations Intern. PureWow internships are unpaid but structured to give the interns maximum exposure to an online publishing operation, our goal being to provide them with solid experience that will quickly help them find paid work. We're looking for someone who can to come into the New York office at least three days per week. If you have a strong interest in learning about many aspects of our digital publishing operation and are motivated to succeed in a start-up environment, we want to hear from you.

The Operations internship is a hybrid role that includes assignments and learning opportunities across our sales, communications, marketing, ads ops and creative departments. (Please note that this is not an editorial internship, and the role does not include writing or working with our editorial team. Editorial internships are promoted separately)

The position revolves primarily around copy and content editing of daily newsletter content, so a keen eye for detail and knowledge of grammar a must.

Qualifications and Expectations:

  • Minimum commitment of 15 hours per week in PureWow's NY Office (Soho area)

Ad Sales Intern

 

PureWow.com, the premiere women's lifestyle email publication, is seeking an Ad Sales Intern to support our growing start-up while gaining hands-on experience with digital advertising sales methods. PureWow internships are unpaid but structured to provide the intern relevant exposure to online sales strategy and execution, in addition to valuable networking opportunities with well-conscious influencers and business people in the fashion, culture, tech, and beauty sectors. PureWow attempts to provide each intern with immediate, real-life experience that can be used later to find paid work. The Ad Sales Intern should be able to commit at least 10-15 hours per week (two-three days per week) working with PureWow for a period of at least three months.

The exact breadth of responsibilities and learning opportunities for the Ad Sales Intern may be customized, based on the applicant's professional requirements.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Working with our Digital Sales Team to build and write custom advertising proposals for our national and local advertising clients.
  • Preparing pipeline reports for management to identify and make sense of pipeline trends.
  • Seeking out advertising opportunities online and recommending potential initiatives to the Digital Ad Sales Team.
  • General office assistance for the ad and marketing team.
  • Special projects as needed, such as planning and executed special events.

Qualifications and Expectations:

  • High school degree required. PureWow welcomes applications from interns who are either college interns (for credit or not) or currently unemployed professionals between jobs who are looking to make a career transition into this area.
  • Minimum commitment of 10-15 hours per week (two-three days per week)
