This role is tasked with helping the company make smart, fast decisions to optimize potential for growth. Understanding of business goals for interpretation & communication of recommendations is key.

As well as the analysis and interpretation & presentation of data, this role will work very closely with the product team to optimize content on-page for maximum visibility & engagement.

The ideal candidate has proven experience in providing intelligence to inform data driven web content strategies. Experience in product management a plus.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing, this role will work closely with editorial, marketing, product and sales. Communication, passion and drive are key characteristics that will help the individual thrive in this environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish & maintain clear, insightful reporting on the key performance metrics. Dig in, analyze and draw actionable insights from the data to optimize our online content & product strategies.
  • Work closely with the product & tech teams to ensure the site is tagged for accurate and meaningful analytics. Ensure the same for all future product developments.
  • Establish efficiencies in reporting templates that enable you to quickly provide on-the-fly stats and reports as needed.
  • Assist the channel marketers (Email & Social) with insight requests as required.
  • Troubleshoot and correct technical SEO errors flagged in google webmaster tools.

Measurements:

This role will be measured on the key performance metrics which directly drive our top business goals.

  • Growth of key engagement metrics on PureWow.com
  • Growth of search referral traffic to PureWow.com

Qualifications:

  • High proficiency in Google Analytics is an absolute must.
  • Experience in analysis of online media preferred
  • Experience in SEO & Google Webmaster tools preferred


The ideal candidate will have 2+ years experience in analysis for data-driven content and/or product strategies for a B2C media brand. Fluency in google analytics is a must. Experience in SEO & Google Webmaster tools preferential.

Director of Software Development

  • Collaborate with New Jersey based backend development team to ensure all systems are in-sync, efficient and continually optimized for performance.

Digital Ad Trafficker and Inventory Manager

PureWow is a rapidly-growing digital media company that delivers women’s lifestyle content to elevate the everyday.  We are seeking a full-time Digital Ad Trafficker and Inventory Manager. We're looking for someone who can work in the New York City office, ideally has a minimum of 1 year of ad trafficking and/or digital media sales planning. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Perform all aspects of traffic management, including implementation, testing, deployment, delivery, and optimization of ad campaigns.
  • Support the SVP of Sales & Operations, Business Development Managers and Operations team.
  • Take ownership and provide technical support on new and existing issues.
  • Be a subject matter expert on all ad server implementations and integrations (data, programmatic, remnant, etc).
  • Advertising campaign support, including: Ad trafficking; Campaign monitoring, optimizing, & reporting; Invoicing and payment tracking.
  • Email Trafficking – Daily testing and scheduling of PureWow emails across all editions.
  • Analyze campaign performance statistics and recommend optimized media solutions from the results.
  • Work closely with sales coordinator to provide account support for ad campaigns, both pre-sales and post-sales
  • Provide technical support for sales and engineering teams to help troubleshoot problems creatively.
  • Act as liaison with the sales marketing team to test and evaluate new types of ad products before they are made available to sellers. Perform QA for all campaigns that go live.
  • Ensure smooth delivery of campaigns by maintaining and distributing pacing reports.
  • Develop optimization strategies on a campaign-by-campaign basis to maximize both yield and advertiser performance.
  • Troubleshoot ad serving issues, discrepancies and reporting issues.
  • Maintain ad specs/acceptable technologies for all digital products.

Qualifications and Expectations:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
  • 1+ year experience in ad ops and/or media sales planning
  • Very familiar with third party ad servers, such as DFP, DART, Atlas, OpenX, etc. (we use DFP, so direct DFP experience is preferred) Excellent MS Excel skills, and know your way around other MS Office products (Word, Powerpoint)
  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Strong analytics, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Positive attitude, and a genuine interest in working in a start-up environment and wearing multiple hats as needed

Responsibilities may include the following:

• Work directly with the marketing manager to analyze subscriber acquisition programs
• Research and identify non-paid (barter) partnerships with like-minded digital properties
• Develop paid campaigns with Facebook Advertising, Google AdWords and more
• Build landing pages of marketing initiatives
• Assist with market research, including crafting reader surveys and analyzing data
• Support other subscriber acquisition efforts to help grow email lists and reach

Qualifications:

PureWow.com, the premiere women's lifestyle email publication, is seeking an Operations Intern. PureWow internships are unpaid but structured to give the interns maximum exposure to an online publishing operation, our goal being to provide them with solid experience that will quickly help them find paid work. We're looking for someone who can to come into the New York office at least three days per week. If you have a strong interest in learning about many aspects of our digital publishing operation and are motivated to succeed in a start-up environment, we want to hear from you.

The Operations internship is a hybrid role that includes assignments and learning opportunities across our sales, communications, marketing, ads ops and creative departments. Ad Sales Intern

PureWow internships are unpaid but structured to provide the intern relevant exposure to online sales strategy and execution, in addition to valuable networking opportunities with well-conscious influencers and business people in the fashion, culture, tech, and beauty sectors. PureWow attempts to provide each intern with immediate, real-life experience that can be used later to find paid work. The Ad Sales Intern should be able to commit at least 10-15 hours per week (two-three days per week) working with PureWow for a period of at least three months.

The exact breadth of responsibilities and learning opportunities for the Ad Sales Intern may be customized, based on the applicant's professional requirements.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Working with our Digital Sales Team to build and write custom advertising proposals for our national and local advertising clients.
  • Preparing pipeline reports for management to identify and make sense of pipeline trends.
  • Seeking out advertising opportunities online and recommending potential initiatives to the Digital Ad Sales Team.
