Life is like a box of chocolates: way better when combined with red wine. These vino-infused truffles prove you can have both chocolate and wine at the same time, and lucky for you, they’re super easy to make. Watch to learn how to whip up a batch for yourself.

What You Need
 - 8 ounces bittersweet chocolate
 - 4 tablespoons dry red wine
 - 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
 - ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
 - ½ cup heavy cream, hot
 - Cocoa powder

Step 1: Combine all ingredients except the heavy cream and cocoa powder in a large mixing bowl and set aside.

Step 2: Heat the heavy cream over medium heat in a small saucepan until it starts to bubble, stirring often. Pour into the bowl over the other ingredients.

Step 3: Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and mixture is totally combined.

Step 4: Pour the chocolate batter into an 8” x 8” pan and chill for 2 hours.

Step 5: Using a mini ice cream scoop or small spoon, scoop the chocolate into small lumps and roll into balls.

Step 6: Roll the truffles in cocoa powder. Place them in a pretty box to give to someone you love (or sit back with a glass of wine and enjoy them all yourself).
