Pizza Popcorn Is the Amazing Snack Mash-Up We Never Knew We Needed

pizza popcorn web

If it were up to us, we’d eat pizza for every meal. But because it’s kinda tough to sneak a large pepperoni with extra cheese into our purse when we go to the movies, our friends at Tastes of Lizzy T. are here to help. Presenting our new favorite snack: pizza popcorn.

This Trick Will Change How You Eat Movie Theater Popcorn Forever

What you need: Two parchment-paper-lined cookie sheets, popcorn (homemade or popped in the microwave), 3 tablespoons tomato paste, 2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter and each of the following, to taste: oregano, basil, parsley, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, salt, grated Parmesan and grated mozzarella.

What you do: Preheat the oven to 250°F. Sprinkle the popped popcorn on the cookie sheets, then mix the rest of the ingredients (except the cheese) in a separate bowl. Taste test until the proportions are right, then mix it into the popcorn with your hands. Bake for about 10 minutes, then serve warm with freshly grated Parmesan and mozzarella on top. (You can find the exact recipe here, but we prefer to eyeball it and add toppings as we go. We’d never want to limit anyone's Parm intake.)
