Even after seeing these new styles strut down the runway (and possibly your sidewalk), you may still wonder whether or not to jump on board. The short answer: Yes. The long answer: Yes, but follow these tips.

Skirt the issue Mules look best with a midi or an A-line skirt that falls slightly below the knee. It’s retro and you’re embracing it.

But don’t go short! Mules should never be worn with a miniskirt or minidress (unless you want to look like a Spice Girl).

Shape matters We find it much easier to walk in mules with a wedge or stovepipe heel, as opposed to a slender stiletto.
