Speedy solutions for gray, green and grimy
We’ve got a lot to do in summertime: all that taxing pool time, those cookouts and cocktails. Keeping our hair looking great is a priority, but we want to make it happen in no time flat. That’s why we’re psyched to discover a handful of new products that turn a bad hair day into a photo op.
For when we discover a few gray hairs, there’s Gray Disappear ($16), the new touch-up wand from eco-conscious company Generation Klean. A quick swipe with a mascara-like wand whisks paraben-free temporary hair color onto our roots and hairline, and we’ve hidden our silver strands until our next shampooing.
When we have no time to shampoo, we turn to Privé Volumizing Dry Shampoo ($29). Unlike other dry shampoos, this one contains no talc to gum up hair; a simple spray of it near the roots and our locks look cleaner and fuller.
Finally, one of our favorite hair care lines, Alterna, has a new quick fix for post-pool or -beach locks that refuse to shine, flow or hold color. Summer Hair Recovery Spray ($20) is an antioxidant-rich mist of leave-in conditioner that not only restores moisture but also protects follicles against future damage.
There--with a few tricks, summer just went from hairy to happy.
