Stash finds the best deals on home and beauty items
Comparison-shopping for bath soap isn’t exactly at the top of your to-do list. (And if it is, you’ve got waaaaay too much time on your hands.)
Comparison-shopping for bath soap is, however, the primary objective of Stash, a new iPhone app that finds the best prices on personal-care and household items.
Upon downloading the app, you can look up any beauty, health, baby or home product--everything from Simplehuman trash-can liners to Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray to those chewable calcium supplements that taste like candy. Stash then searches across sites like Amazon, Sephora and Drugstore.com to find the best going rate for said item.
Once you’ve settled on where to get your 16 tubes of whitening toothpaste (60 cents cheaper at Walmart.com!), you can buy directly through the Stash app for no additional charge. Shipping is free for orders over $25; all others are $2.
If you check a product as a favorite, Stash will track price drops over time and alert you when the item goes on sale. We recently found our beloved Chloe eau de parfum marked down from $75 to $49, for instance.
There’s also, we might note, an “intimates” section--perfect for keeping your prophylactics spending in check.
