La-La Land Prints
Poster by David Weidman

The Hollywood Bowl is about to launch its summer season, which reminds us how lucky we are to have such unique and world-class musical venues in our city. How can we forget our special nights picnicking at the Bowl or under the stars at the Greek Theatre?

Now we never have to, as we’ve discovered a collection of limited-edition posters at La-La Land Prints. These colorful concert advertisements feature art from some of today’s coolest Los Angeles-based graphic artists, such as Tim Biskup (punk-rock modernism), Camille Rose Garcia (Disney meets Philip K. Dick) and, our favorite, Kii Arens (disco dramatics, including Liza!).

We think these colorful and affordable (about $60 each) posters are super ways to commemorate past shows we’ve loved. They also make fantastic gifts--say, a graduation present showing someone’s favorite artist, from the cult (Jenny Lewis) to the iconic (did we mention Liza?). Music spots all over SoCal are featured, and La-La Land Prints also sells higher-priced original paintings, light boxes and serigraphs (from $1,200).

One look at these images on our wall, and we’re transported back into the magical musical evenings we love--even if we weren’t there.
