Marcus Samuelsson has a restaurant in Harlem, not the Hamptons, but this Saturday the famed chef will celebrate the release of his new memoir, Yes, Chef, by whipping up a four-course dinner paired with local wines at Montauk’s Backyard Restaurant. There will be seatings at 6:30 and 9 p.m., and reservations are a must. The $125 price includes a signed copy of the book.

Want to get in the holiday mood early? Join hundreds of others watching fireworks this Saturday night (9:30 p.m.), courtesy of the Sag Harbor Yacht Club. The pyrotechnics are set off from a barge just beyond the breakwater, and the best vantage points are Havens Beach, Marine Park and Long Wharf. If you know a member, you may be able to partake of the club’s private festivities.

If luxurious cashmere shawls and flirtatious crocheted dresses haven’t pulled you into the Christopher Fischer store yet, check it out Saturday evening (5:50 to 7:30 p.m.), when the store hosts a pre-event kickoff party for the American Cancer Society “Festive in Flip-Flops” benefit. There will be wine, hors d’oeuvres, a DJ and 15 percent off full-price merchandise. Ten percent of all proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

With all the eating and drinking out east, it’s sometimes good to skip a meal or two and juice instead. The organic Blue Print Juice line, formerly available only as a cleanse, is now being sold in individual bottles at the Whole Foods stand in Wainscott, Exhale in Bridgehampton and Schmidt’s Market in Southampton.
