This Burgundy Smoky Eye Is Smoldering and So Easy to Do

Looking foxy, mama

If a classic smoky eye is your go-to date-night makeup, then you’re going to love this next-level burgundy version. We tapped the talents of professional makeup artist Erin Acker and had her show us how to use the trendy hue on our lids.

To create this look, you’ll need three shades of burgundy ranging from light to dark. We used Urban Decay’s Full Spectrum Palette with shades Alchemy, Delirious and Paranoia.

Step 1: Start with the medium shade and swipe over your whole lid.

Step 2: Use the darker shade to accent the outer corners of your eyes and just under your lower lash lines.

Step 3: Tap the lightest shadow into the inner corners of your eyes to make them pop.

Step 4: Use a clean brush to blend it all together and clean up the edges with a little foundation.

Step 5: Last, but certainly not least, add some definition along your upper lash lines with a fine brush and dark charcoal or black shadow.

What a stone-cold fox.
